You might want to tighten that nut with a ratchet/socket or a nut driver. Hard to get a nut very tight with needle nose pliers from my experience.

Teflon tape is not a thread sealer. The Teflon reduces friction between the threads so you can get an extra half-turn or so, making the joint a little tighter to prevent leaks in water pipes. You wrapped it around the threads too many times (you only need 1.5 to 2 turns around. You also wrapped it in the wrong direction around the male threads.

Climbing rope would be better. I got a role that has a breaking strength of 5,800 pounds. Its a little bigger but it will keep you from losing your magnet.

It's called thread lock, most known brand is Loctite, you want RED, and you can get a small tube in grams for a pound or two. You can also use a LOCK WASHER that might cost 50p or so. USE THE PROPER WRENCH to tighten nuts and bolts, NOT a pair of needle nose pliers which are as useless as tits on a boar hog for that job. GOOD LUCK!!!!

You need 'Loctite' = lock tight. Use it for cars, brake bolts to stop them coming undone, only a couple of pound from Europarts or Wheels

Proper way to boil an egg: Put the egg(s) in the pan first. Fill with cold water so the eggs are submerged. Cover the pan. Bring the water to a rapid boil. When the water is boiling, turn off the heat and leave the covered pan on the stove for 12-15 minutes. Run eggs under cold water to stop them cooking. Peel and enjoy.
