i legit just tried this, and its the only technique thats worked for me!!
great refresher.
Don't facebook so don't subscribe.
Rick you should make a video playing a round using a 7 wood, 6, iron, Kirkland wedges, and favorite putter.
Been using this technique for a couple years now. This technique is golden vs using a old man gay chipper! 😂
Played 9 today. Used this technique for the first time. Made an amazing difference in my close game. Thank you so much sir. Keep up the good work.
Which degree wedge is that mate ?
What club though?
Woody Austin showed me this technique back in the early 90's.
Rick, thnx for your help. Question, what club choice did you use for this video?
saw this method years ago demonstated by David Leadbetter
I think this used to be called the Paul Runyan Method after the American short game wizard who popularised it half a century ago at least! As you rightly say, an excellent method for those who struggle with these shots!
I’m so desperate for a way to chip and pitch without chunking or thinning it. I average 79 my last 10 rounds but every round I have about 2 chunked/thinned wedges. I have horrible yips. This looks like a good technique for chipping. How about pitching 40+ yards?
I have been using that tech for awhile now. I feel like even in Bermuda ruff, it is effortless getting the ball to pop out.
As someone who knows what he's doing around the green pretty well with his wedges, never use your wrists…. Rick everything is connected to the sternum arms straight like a putting stroke for a chip. You use wrists for pitching not chipping
Club selection ?
Short is better
Dear Rick, try an overlapping grip same as putting. 100% you never dig in the ground again.
AN GOLDEN TIP !!!!!
Thanks for this Rick. Started using this method and my chipping is more consistent now with far less thinning of the ball. Excellent!!!

Thanks for explaining about the toe, Ive always wondered if I was chipping right trying to keep the club more vertical
