BTB… you were brave to lick the salt especially after it was plugged in LOL. Here is some good information. Himalayan pink salt is not sea salt even though it is generally referred to as Himalayan sea salt even by major chefs. It is a rock salt mined by hand from the Punjab region in Pakistan. Each individual minor of this salt is paid $1.77 per ton. They make approximately $50-$70 per month. In the various mines there is usually one death per week. To the consumer Himalayan pink salt is very expensive at least to my way of thinking. Actually today I just used the last of a jar I purchased several months ago. I bought it and then looked up the origin of the pink salt. Considering how it is obtained I decided I would not buy it again. I use regular table salt, kosher salt and occasionally sea salt. But not Himalayan pink salt.

Some people say that ionisers are indeed good for your health because they trap particles in the air, and that they work especially well with an air purifier. I dunno… we had another type of ioniser in the office for weeks but I couldn't tell the difference.
