Difference between Paladin and Fighter is imo that the fighter is a tiny bit better at surviving but doesnt offer any benefit to the party besides being a damage sponge. The Paladin on the other hand can survive almost as much as the fighter but on top of that offers some buffs and benefits to the party. Especially if you run a comp with an off-tank where the Paladin's auras can affect both of them (+4 DR on both frontliners is great).
My current lvl6 Paladin has a deflecition of 102 and DR of i think 20. So he is just a beast of a tank. And he even has decent INT because again i think of the Paladin as a support-tank. I also used a Fire-Godlike because they get another +3DR when they drop below 50% HP and also deal some nice damage whenever they get hit and that can easily happen to a main tank. So it also offers some offensive capabilities for free.
Ah yeah and i have seen Eders stats for the first time in your vid and they really suck balls lol. Too bad you cant use most of the NPC's when youre into min-maxing.
