Last week we dove into the Seamoth and all the upgrades for it, so today we are giving the same focus to the PRAWN suit. The PRAWN suit is of course the vehicle you use for the deepest areas of the game and is a requirement to get certain resources.

Here is what Steam has to say about Subnautica:
Subnautica is an underwater adventure game set on an alien ocean planet. A massive, open world full of wonder and peril awaits you!
You have crash-landed on alien ocean world, and the only way to go is down. Subnautica’s oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches, lava fields, and bio-luminescent underwater rivers. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. The water teems with life: Some of it helpful, much of it harmful.
After crash landing in your Life Pod, the clock is ticking to find water, food, and to develop the equipment you need to explore. Collect resources from the ocean around you. Craft knives, lights, diving gear, and personal water craft. Venture deeper and further form to find rarer resources, allowing you to craft more advanced items.
Build bases on the sea floor. Choose layouts and components, and manage hull-integrity as depth and pressure increase. Use your base to store resources, park vehicles, and replenish oxygen supplies as you explore the vast ocean.
What happened to this planet? Signs abound that something is not right. What caused you to crash? What is infecting the sea life? Who built the mysterious structures scattered around the ocean? Can you find a way to make it off the planet alive?
The ocean teems with life: Use the ecosystem to help you. Lure and distract a threatening creature with a fresh fish, or simply swim as fast as you can to avoid gnashing jaws of roaming predators.
Build a Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nanosuit, or PRAWN Suit, and explore extreme depth and heat. Modify the suit with mining drills, torpedo launchers, propulsion cannons, grappling hooks and more.
As the sun goes down, the predators come out. The ocean is unforgiving of those caught unprepared in the darkness. Areas that are safe to explore during the day become treacherous at night, but also reveal a beauty that those who hide from the darkness will never see.
Cave systems wind below the sea bed, from dark claustrophobic passages to caverns lit by bio-luminescent life and burning-hot lava flows. Explore the world below the ocean floor, but watch your oxygen levels, and take care to avoid the threats lurking in the darkness.

The prawn suit torpedo launchers can kill a reaper leviathan if you use the ones with gasopod neurotoxin. You will need to make 32-40 torpedoes, and use dual torp launchers. Find a reaper (not hard), bring your stasis gun… get out of your prawn and let it come at you. Stasis it. Then really stasis it. Jump back in your prawn suit and get yourself at a good angle because the stasis field will affect your torps… unload all your torps on him so that the toxic cloud obscures him…. jump out, stasis him again, and repeat. Once you've fired about 36 torps and theres a toxic cloud around him… quickly swap out the torp launchers for your usual punchy mitts… hit the reaper a few times… he will die.
The hull upgrade only affects impact damage, not damage taken from enemies. Because the prawn suit doesn't take impact damage from terrain, the hull upgrade does actually nothing.
The scary part is when i get stuck in a deep hole that the prawn suit cant get out of.
I cant jump with the prawn suit, any ideia why?
7:48 Holy shit yeeeet
This is a cool video and all but am I the only one who notices WHY THE HECK IS A REAPER IN THE SAFE SHALLOWS?!?!?
I’m scared to go into a cave cuz idk if I can escape the cave
What I tried to get the blueprints I almost died to the reaper leviathan
Had to build a second Moon Pool. Built the first one over a large open coral tube pointing directly up into my Moon Pool opening. It was great until I used my prawn suit in the MP. When I got back into the Prawn suit, it dropped my right into the coral tube. Couldn't move, couldn't exit the Prawn, couldn't jump the suit up out of it. Stuck. Had to wriggle the suit side-to-side for 5-10 minutes before I finally got it out of the coral tube. Built a second moon pool within a minute!
Where do you build them
How do I get the upgrades?
I'm not one to normally comment, but just wanted to say that you did an excellent job with the details. Straight, to the point with excellent comparisons and details on stacking or not. Keep the videos coming.
Punch arm does 40dmg drill does 5dps
I found that Grappling Arm + Drill Arm is quite effective in dealing with various shark/eel type creatures. I choose drill because I don't feel like getting out and changing it every time I get ambushed while drilling that sweet sweet ore.
I’m so mad my modification station doesn’t have the prawn suit upgrades can someone reply to this comment and tell me what to do cause I’m really confused and mad
I wish there was a prawn suit stasis arm
0:05 the beached reef back tho 🤣🤣
Plus 100
Prawn vs reaper
You can grapple in forward of you and jump and let go and you are flying at a high speed
– Damage is only reduced from collision with terrain. Other sources of damage such as aggressive fauna do full damage.
Hull reinforcement is useless on prawn suit btw, since it cannot take terrain damage.
I installed a mod for seamoth deepth module mk5 because it used to be my favorite vehicle and i wanted to go at inactive lava zone with him, but you guys should know that sea dragon does hit kill at him, and the perimeter defense module doesnt even work at him, i mean, you have tho hit him twice to make him go back, it isnt worthy cuse the cooldown is to long, leaving you exposed, anyway, getting exploded, hitkill
Also the propulsion arm can grab large deposits to relocate them in a safer place for exemple.
Can anyonre olease tell me if there is or isn't a mk3 depth module for the prawn suit
I love how you can go faster than the sea moth with the grapple arm. Awesome to fly around areas in the giant mech suit.
Camo upgrade the arms and stuff in creative without going to different places?
I don't know how I keep on playing this game. Every time I have been playing it for the last few weeks now since getting it, I honestly ask myself this…How am I possibly going to reach the endgame and experience all the homes if I literally almost had a bloody anxiety attack just getting to the front entrance of the Aurora the other day to get this blueprint? I didnt even see the Reaper from inside the water but I heard its out of distance roaring, and only when I got out of the water reaching the ship finally I saw him come up to the surface near my moth. This game is so pleasing in so many ways but pertaining to the fear factor, it is seriously next to unbearable it is moreso upsetting than enjoyable, for me personally. I have yet to come across a Reaper insight in water. I don't know if I can do this to be honest although having built the exosuit is pretty cool but quite immobile without the grapple arm…
