i have yet to win 1 campaign 😂, i always fail midgame
that would have been useful 2 years ago
When i play as Queen Khalida, I go on a Murder Rampage with any faction. EXCEPT, The Rats. The Skaven are the Bane of my Existence. So If I Can't Beat em. I Join Em.
I honestly think that weren‘t it for the stupid amber mechanic, the Wood elves would be super chill to play. You have treekin as a great frontline and archers that can send anyone into (or back into) the grave.
I'm just here to say that I play the occasional Wood Elf game and enjoy it quite a bit. Although I've never played the elf part of the Wood Elves. I have only ever played as Tree Hitler and spammed woodland spirits (dryads, tree-kin, treemen, forest dragons, basically anything that isn't an elf). I do play with a couple mods but that just affects things like corruption (local populace is dumb), leader max levels, and camera settings.
i bought wh2 about a year ago thinking the whole game played something similar to ME since i was new and had only played 3k prior. was fuming when the dark elves randomly won due to some bullshit condition like 150 turns in. didnt know i had to buy an entire ass other game to enjoy the actual game i had originally purchased. that was one of the most jewish things ive seen if not the most jewish thing ive seen in the gaming industry. needless to say i bought it when it was on sale because i myself am a shill POS
I don't play with any mods, I LOVE my Wood Elves. I'll cover your ass in Amber, Damnedey. I'm not saying they have the best campaign, but I love 'em in battle and have played the long campaign through at least 3 times.
My biggest mistake
I only saw how to take the variants units in my 3 campaing
I love wood elves they are super easy and strong even on H/H difficulty and i believe they will do splendid job on VH/VH
170hrs in this game and I have only done 2 vortex campaigns with DE and Lizardmen. Just started an Alarielle vortex recently. Do find myself just stalling and waiting for growth sometimes after having extended a bit. But great tips and great content mate. Keep it coming.
I have two mistakes to add:
1. Think you should like every faction: Everyone says Ikit Claw is awesome. I Hated it. I tried and tried and couldnt get the hang of it, I didn't like it, so yeah. I live with it. I got to Dwarves and got totally hooked. I finished the long campaing and had a blast. I loved Vampire coast. Everyone said Vampire counts are awesome but I didn't find it entertaining at all. Find the one that clicks with the way you want to play.
2. Sword of Khaine = Danger. Don't take it just because.
Sometimes auto-resolve can save you because the computer only compares raw strength. – for example if you have overwhelming advantage, but that advantage comes from a dwarf army that reinforces from a far away corner of the board and will take the whole battle walking. or if you intercept beastmen with a gun-heavy army, but the whole board is forest.
I have done Wood Elf campaigns on MO unmodded. I'm no one.
Hold up, you're supposed to be able to get through the vortex campaign in a day? I swear I'm 20-30 hours in, and I feel like I'm nowhere near done yet 🙁
I fundamentally disagree with your statement on public order, but that's simply because I farm rebellions if they exist XD Low public order is good IMO. Let's you train a lord in the public order perk if you sit them in it, making future issues with public order less of an issue, and if the public order is bad enough they're going to rebel, you can kill and eat them or whatever. Bad public order is only bad if you don't have an army there, and you don't have garrisons built.
I know I criticized you in another video for talking so fast you were basically unintelligible but this is fine. I can totally follow and understand you unlike the other video I commented on, thanks.
The first campaign I played was Lord Mazdamundi. It was going well until I pissed off Gor-rok AND a stupidly powerful Clan Pestilens and they kicked my ass.
2:19 if they can make it to the endgame without having a lance showed up their (Demonitised) by the simps of bretonnia that is.
I will also say I just finished my first very hard campaign, and did it as Brettonias very own Repanse de Lyonesse and my god it was so rewarding and I learned SO much about economic and military management I never thought about. And somehow, dont ask, managed to not lose a single battle doing it.
10:35 Playing vortex campaign cuz it lag less on every end turn
LIES! My friend is a big Wood Elves fan, He did about 6 campaigns in WH and has done 1 and we are completing another for WH2. We play completely unmodded.
My BIGGEST problem is really overthinking and that can ruin me the entire game/day xD
For those new to Mortal Empires: you have approximately 100 turns to expand, consolidate and build up as much strength as you can. At Turn 100ish, the Chaos invasions begin, and depending on your position you may have to fight up to half a dozen stacks, which may respawn a few turns later. At Turn 150ish, Archaon shows up and the Chaos invasions get even worse until someone kills him.
If you're an 'evil' faction, try to make sure you're already at war and winning against any of the 'good' guys you want to be in a war with, before Archaon shows up at Turn 150ish. When he shows up, the 'good' guys will all team up into a super alliance of doom (commonly called the Ordertide) and at that point declaring a new war with any of them (or having them declare one on you) is probably going to get you killed.
The biggest mistake is when a race/nation you are at war against ask for piece after they are down to one settlement/city and you accept, this is not only bad because for one that empire/race will dish out 3 armies that under normal circumstances would hurt financially, well to my knowledge the AI does not suffer financially.
Also despite some gameplay mods I have that alter certain aspects like letting me recruit defeated lords or altering under empire, with DLC comes changes, such as skaven slaves were recruitable at certain structure tiers, skaven slaves with swords are tier one, skaven slingers at tier 3, so cities won't get skaven slingers, as of now all 3 skaven slaves can be recruited at tier 1 because if I am lets say ikit claw and I need cheap range units, well fock off because slingers are not an option, however as of now there are slingers, plus the lizardman (Or Seraphons) can only recruit skink cohorts with a particular military structure, well now skink cohorts and javelins can be recruited with a simple tier 1 main building
are you excited for the new DLC coming out the warden and the paunce
its with an Ork in the new world.
These guides are so amazing! I'm glad i found this channel. You've helped improve my game a lot.
Tips for anyone new to Warhammer. If you play Skaven you actually want rebellions to happen early on. They are a good source of food and easy levels early in the game. Also use them to get any non legendary lords more loyalty. When leaving ANY Skaven lord always get campaign movement range then all 3 levels of the skill that boosts ambush chances. They are vital to wining with Skaven. If you are not ambushing (except when attacking a settlement) you are doing something wrong. Food is easy to come by so don't worry too much about it. Hope this helps.
