This is so hard
This is more like a rookie, not an intermediate tutorial. But thanks for the good video though.
What board do you have
Turning back up the hill on steep retains the grip and kills speed. If you initiate the next turn while pointing up the hill or at least level you can turn tight and keep grip on the next traverse as you won't pick so much speed as you come through the fall line. Sliding anywhere near bumps or on the steep while traversing will put you on the floor. If it is really steep you'll be sledging on your ass for the next mile lol. Sliding isn't gripping. Ideally the trail you leave in the snow should be no wider than a single ski width.
