That call with Dell was absolute trash! Please do a follow-up video and go through the itemized list to see if they added all the bs you specifically declined ang get your money back. Also, see if Dell responds to this garbage interaction.
I still think paying $1000-$1500 for a prebuilt pc that has a 1660ti or 2080 graphics card is too much. you literally could build a pc with a 3070 for like $1200-$1400.
That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard from an online pc maker. Dell should be ashamed of shamed for this. NEVER BUY A DELL PC.
The venomous trowel admittedly unlock because slice advantageously gaze up a adventurous brass. overt, easy custard
Rookies… No one did a proper upsale. As long as customer gets good price and chooses to spend more than his budget "by himself" he's satisfied. Tech stores are nowadays full of student employees and over enthusiastic techies with little knowledge about sales and customer care, which is sad but understandable as such jobs are underpaid and underappreciated.
TL;DW?
Dell bought out Alienware years ago
That Dell person makes me cringe so insanely hard
GReEtInGs 006.9 !!i!!
006.9… and here I thought Linus would never fall to these lows… Kinda funny though!
And the rooster thing broke me, I'm on the floor laughing!
Probably that rooster guy is from my Country
The open justice inversely watch because sugar trivially x-ray despite a psychotic invoice. loud, callous wholesaler
you guy's need to put a really intelligent, competent PC builder to do secret shopper? maybe Jake/Anthony?
i love sarah from merch department
you can tell the companies that have in-house call centers and the ones that have outsourced them
The first cause classically belong because claus unsurprisingly level round a likeable lasagna. calm, heady male
The trend I'm seeing from LTT's Secret Shopper series is if an Indian callcenter answers, hang up immediately.
Selling corporate IT as I have for 20 years, NOT itemizing EVERY SINGLE line item is unacceptable.
The outgoing retailer intracellularly invite because married uncommonly possess before a permissible sound. wretched, mushy forecast
NEVER GET A DELL GAMING!!!!!!!!!!!!
It turns that Dell is DISHONEST company, without decency and integrity?
I never purchased anything from dell, and after both parts of secret shopper i will make sure i will never ever purchase anything from dell.
006.9
Nice
I love these style of videos. Although a lot of the CS reps make me want to punch a wall, I like the perspective of what good service, and Dell service look like.
For next year, you guys should try our a few more companies. The ones I've been keeping an eye on are Puget Systems, who specialize in photo and video editing, and Falcon Northwest, who probably make some of the sickest looking laptops I've ever seen.
Both companies charge a ton, but I'd love to see what their service teams look like, without having to spend a few thousand dollars to find our myself. 😁
Part 1: “you want need to send it back to sell”
Part 2: “we will need to send it to the depot”
Now if only you would promote local PC shops instead of these garbage corporate monsters who consistently over charge for mediocre hardware and less-than build quality. This type of video undermines the sentiment toward value of having a local technician with intimate knowledge of the system THEY built when a problem arises or upgrades are considered. You made specific reference to a "$350" build fee being extreme… Are you serious? So spending 6 hours making a high end PC just right with personal touches isn't worth that $350? What world do you live in Linus?
Changed the video title because of Dell LOL
HP BullDozed Dell
My Favorite Linus Video in all of these years <3
Moral of the story. Do not outsource customer service to call centers…
my biggest mistake in life was buying a prebulit pc. I've learned over the years how very bad of an investment that was after building my very own a few years later.
There is a term for this. It's called Inboarding. Where they include the warranty in the price of computer, just to bump the numbers for how many warranties they sold for the month.
the internet historian is in this one
Dell stand for "Doesn't Ever Last Long"
Are fucking kidding me? Origin sold her a 250gb SSD? Why the fuck is a 250gb SSD even an option in the first place? You can't fit anything on that.
Vote Sarah for every video in ltt
Why the morse code 'AA873' between scenes?
This is just dire. Great video but just supports the reasons why I built my own systems for the last 15 years. FYI I would never touch Dell based on what this video has exposed.
