Lol I played sooo much ftl but I only beat it once. Now. Why am I here? Because the one time I beat it, it was on not advanced version. All other runs were on advanced edition and I got my ass whoopes
> Puts spare crew member on weapons
> Gets boarded immediately
This is why you always put the spare crew on doors first. The slight advantage of weapon charging speed isn't as good as being able to deter and suffocate invaders. You can always move the spare crew to weapons AFTER you know you won't be boarded.
Good tutorial, I've been playing this game for years but learned a few golden rules from this. Obviously if you covered each individual ship and their various layouts someone like me would probably have a lot to gain from that

My main problem is which weapons are most cost effective, Also after achieving a two spot shields I always end up facing an opponent who has better shields and weapons and blows me away. If one spends money on upgrading the internal weapons does this make existing weapons more potent?

brother… you gotta script these videos… you have too much good content here… your speech pattern is reminiscent of when you're being boarded and your weapons and engine officers were murderer and both of their departments are on fire and you've locked yourself in the medbay…
best weapon set up
1. Flak II + Flak I + Flak I
2. Swarm + Swarm + Swarm (+Swarm) + the augment that 50% chance not using a missle *p.s in case you don't know, with swarm charge up to 3 missles it only cost 1 per fire
there are many combination but i find above two listed the most op as they either ignore shield or take down shielf within the first shoot
