Ok so Klei has completely changed the way that farming works in the game, making parts of this video inaccurate or irrelevant. You can no longer build basic or improved farms. They have been replaced by new farm plots where you need to till the soil and plant crops much like in The Gorge game mode. Stone Fruit also now take roughly 4 times as long to grow which kinda sucks. They are still very good though.
I am struggling to survive .. so started eating butterflies 😂
Tldw: Berry Bushes good, stone fruit good, everything else…..
Yes, Mushroom planters are ineffective, YES I could just cook cactus… but the planters look pretty 👉👈

The only thing I took from this was the question of how he is planting things symmetrically without moving his mouse? Is there a function I am unaware of? I see he has geometric placement, but it doesnt look like he is using it. Is there another mod allowing this? I must know!

you can plant lureplants on boats so no eyeplants spawn at all
With the newest updates, Leafy meat is amazing, so making Leafy meat farm is definitely good idea. One of the best recipes in the game so far for hp, sanity and hunger.
i wouldn't suggest mushroom planters unless you're playing as/with a woodie or wormwood, they constantly need living logs. however if you're able to keep up with their needs itll be powerful for wickerbotoom.

If farm plot crop farming isn't up to par, someone out there's going to make a mod to improve it.
Frankly, there is a mod that does just that for the PC players.
It doesn’t change much but meat bulbs can be planted on boats to completely nullify the eye plants. They can be fed to birds for eggs making them actually useful to farm as a meat saver

personally i prefer juicy berries, i dont dig em up, because i find it useless to waste resources, and there are a lot of juicy berries, so all i need is the meat annd im set
