Bro this video is perfect. 🙏🏻 thank you!
Oh man, I was doing this all wrong, no wonder I could barely sustain my people
Thx for this, huge help, and great info!
Good
Banished is a good farm to grave simulator.
Good video
Holy shit. Putting the houses next to food production sites really made the trick for me, I was getting angry because I had tons of food production and my citizens still starved to death, but once I did it like you recommended I solved all my issues lol.
thank you
You are amazing! Thank you.
Like Alex said, this was for me also the complete explanation a have been looking for! around food production. Thank you!! 🙂
Great video! Concise and packed with info. Thank you so much!
ty dude
this is a proper guide. hats off to ya
A 16×16 field with 3 workers will produce 1792 food per year. You can also fit 3 homes on each side. Your advice on fishing docks is very good, but on the forestry I would not put any homes closer then 34 sqs as people scare the game away. Once you build and staff the forestry, clear out all the stone and iron within range of the hunter. Did I mention I put the forester, herbalist, gather and hunter together? I build all my homes with stone, this saves 50% of your fire wood, and I use the "no coal in homes" mod.
What I don't get is how the market is compatible with this system. Markets' reach must encompass houses in order to supply goods evenly throughout that area, right? That doesn't seem possible here. How would you use a market in this scenario?
Gatherers produce more food per year than farms
God this game is more deep and clever than I gave it credit for.
i remember the time when youtube was used for being educational, this reminded of thatno clickbait, no bullshit, straight to the point
thank you
The ONLY Banished guide you'll need. All the others on YouTube don't even come close. Compared to this, they should all be taken down.
A small correction: citizens eat 90 food per year. 6 times a year they go to their homes and eat 15 food, evaluate whether the supplies in the home are sufficient, and then go back to work or restock their home.
I think you need to create an e-book. It's great, man.
I immediately start playing at 10x and just leave it there. THIS should be the max speed option lol. Anyone else? Like, even at 10x it feels like everything's crawling along?
Damn this is a very useful information dude
The only thing missing is that they need "multiple different types of food will increase both their health and happiness." ~banishedinfo.com
Use the mod ''iron man'', learn what the complexity.
thanks
I've "liked" this.
Advanced hunting tips: deer come in herds, each with its own territory. Max herd size 10 animals (less if insufficient grazing – buildings reduce this as stated but so too do mountains, lakes, rivers). Placing cabin at corner where four herds meet means that often all the deer will be somewhere else. Conversely, placing cabin at the very centre of a territory to concentrate on one herd risks over-hunting. Example:
10 deer in herd first year, 6 killed, plus lets say 1 dies from natural wastage.
Second year 3 deer left, can only produce 3 baby deer in early spring. Hunters kill the last 3 old deer, then 2 of the new ones (they'll be big enough by then).
Third year just 1 deer, can only produce 1 baby. Hunters can kill only 2 this year.
Fourth year none left, but 2 baby deer appear from nowhere in early spring for hunters to kill towards end of year. Cabin which produced 1200 venison and 36 leather the first year now produces just 400 and 12 annually, and is worth staffing only late autumn to late winter (when farmers can be re-assigned to hunt!).
best tips so far
