the OP striker truck needs nerfing in the next update.
@ 12:25 Stability damage is not a big issue. I NEVER had one of my mechs knocked down and to knock a enemy down is also extremly rare (they probably die too fast due to focused fire). I only had one unstable heavy mech from using a DFA attack but "vigilance" got compleatly rid of the stability damage … Now that I think about it I might mod the weapons to produce (way) more stability damage.
just a comment about the value of Death from Above. When your only mech is battling a single enemy mech and you run out of ammo it suddenly becomes a very acepptable option.
They`re showing a SKIRMISH mode in this video, Where is this feature in the released game ??? I only have Campaign and Multiplayer !!

Cant help comparing this to XCOM. Unfortunately it doesn´t come even close so far content wise….at least so it seems from all the videos I´ve seen.
I really don't understand why mechanisms are marking time and act like live humans, it looks weird.

Still remember playing the board game… my mate in an Awesome wanted to shoot at one of my mechs, i put him off saying he'd need at least a 12 to hit (2 d 6)… my brother told him (just shoot 2 ppc's …wont cost you ammo or anything..) My friend then proceeds to roll 2 x 6 twice in a row to hit …. then rolls the same again to hit my head with 2 x ppcs killing the mech instantly.

So….can a Pilot combine the two passives, Multi-Shot and Breeching Shot, by splitting attacks up to one-weapon-shot-per-target + one-shoting two or three targets within one combat turn? For example, during one combat turn, if a Pilot uses his Mech's weapons of one Large Laser, one PPC, and one Autocannon 5, splits them up between three targets using the Multishot passive…then will the Breeching Shot passive apply as long as the Pilot only uses one weapon per each target? Or, does Breeching Shot passive only apply when the Mech fires one weapon at one target and does not engage any other targets during that combat turn?

This is Mechwarrior meets XCOM. If you want to really call it Battle Tech there should be combined arms!!. Is there any chance of adding in the rest of battle tech? Tanks, Fighters, Copters, Infantry men? Imagine going from an Atlas, apocalyptic combat to a ground battle over a building with infantry and tanks. Combined arms is the BattleTech I love.

Get AngryJoe on battlefield for showcase. He loves mechs! And he got good feels and will ask good questions.
I don't think the AI can really cope. BT is an extremely complex game and those who play the board/minis game know it very well. Big, big very big challenge for PDX and I hope they come up with a good result but in MP this must be really awesome can't wait to see the footage of the first release.

Beautiful snow map. Reminds me of the detailed terrains of the Company Of Heroes games. Also love the tool tips explaining the effects and modifiers of things like rough terrain.

This is a good year for Battletech, new pc game, new tabletop rules, new mechs, new introductory set.
I am just hoping the campaign takes more than 6 to 8 hours to beat.

I'm a bit curious, does this game, developers or publishers has anything in common with "MechWarrior Tactics" video game?
If HBS works Fasa Corps franchize, is there a chance to have a game based also on the Mechwarrior rpg ?
a mix between ShadowRun Returns on the ground and Battletech inside a battlemech
or why not a FPS on foot and on mech.
And is there ANY chance to see some good old vintage (and certainly copyrighted stuff from Macross) battlemechs like in a future dlc: Marauder, Pheonix, Riffleman and Battlemaster ?

Suggestion.
If we are going to be limited to four mech lances then perhaps make it so that show can see all four mechs at once in the list? Thinking of the screen at 7 minutes in.
Can't wait to see more info on he campaign. You have nailed he combat but it's the meta game aspect that will turn this game from a decent skirmish experience into a Lance commander versus the big bad universe (as it punishes and provides opportunity to you).
I hope the ship upgrades will include some form of support vehicle/tank/turret deployment/capacity (they can't do jack against the average mech but every distraction helps stave off a shot to the face).

"Death from Above" is a "Highlander" thing, the whole point of the risky manouver is thata rather heavy Mech (like the highlander), from which most pilots do not expect to have jump jets in the first place, crushes a licht, Medium or even a lighter Heavy (like 60 or 65 ton).
