So some examples of loading speed changes due to items – Formula is BaseLoadingSpeed / Sum(1 + ItemPercent). Base loading speed is the time it takes to load the goods on the route… I am using 300t for the ease of calculations. So a small warehouse loads at 2t per second, so 300 tons takes 150 seconds. Medium is 3t and Large/Grand Warehouse is 5t. You can adjust the base loading speed to match whatever you amount you are dropping off.
– Ship with a 45% (so 0.45 + 1) Loading Speed item at a Medium Warehouse (base 100 seconds) would be 68 seconds.
– Airship with the 50% (0.5 +1) Loading Speed item at a Grand Warehouse (base 60 seconds) would be 40 seconds.
– Ship with a 75% (0.75 +1) Loading Speed item at a Small Warehouse (base 150 seconds) would be 85 seconds.
I hadn't even considered white flags. In other titles they were timed items so I didn't bother with them.
best anno videos right here
Hey, I've been checking out your tips videos. Great stuff! Thanks for spending the time to do this.
I was wondering. I've only had the game a couple of weeks, and just have the base game. Which DLC's do you think are worth getting, given they seem pricey?
Also, is that city a DLC? Crown falls?
What is this map seed? It’s gigantic!
Thank you so much for the white flag tip, gonna implement that in my game right away!
What happened to the series? I saw part 1 and it really helped a lot so I went to watch part 2 and so on, but when I looked I could'nt find an episode 3, 4, 5, etc to the weekly series. No matter what happened though these couple episodes have been a great help!
An actual helpful channel. Keep it up!
I've played a ton and you're blowing my mind here XD
I really appreciate your ANNO 1800 content. Thanks so much.
How can one person know so many genuinely useful tips!?
can you tell about the newspaper next?
Hi I have a question, how many power plants do you think is needed for Crown Falls that is fully populated with engineers and investors?
I am new to this game so I watched some of your videos, great content. But there was one I didn't agree with, its when you said to not build steel beams/weapons because their upkeep is too high. Well, in my games I always overbuild them to full extend (6 furnaces on every island + 3/4 weapons), I lose money but keep sending ships of the line to merchants so I get 1 million in about 2 hours (before getting to artisans) while constantly losing 1500 or so. With Ctrl/Fx all I do is survey once in a while my shipyard then AI's one.
whats your advice on trade routes?
-one route with serveral resources (e.g. 50t rum, gold, pearls, chocolate, coffee, cotton mill)
-each resource has its own trade route (e.g. 6x50ton rum)
When talking about attractiveness you forgot to mention that it increases the chance of a specialist visiting your Public Mooring. Or am I incorrect about this one? 🙂
The Assetviewer actually gives the expedition rewards and gives a list of item sources with droprates.
The white flag is indeed an item that can protect your ships… but at the point you'll like to get it, you'll certainly be already in position to ally with the pirates or AI's. It's actually more efficient to use coins to ally with the others than rolling for white flags.
Plus, it takes an item slot that is usefull for loading speed or ship speed
I think you should also give some more informations about the attractiveness and the public mooring, since certain type of specialists will only come in at a certain level of attractiveness. Assetviewer also gives this information.
Maybe also mention attractiveness layouts, and the required items for that as well as zoo/museum sets.
Really beautiful, helpful, and clear videos. Thank you so much and keep them coming!

Thank you for these!
Rolling for stuff, at least in the expansions, I think depends on your attractiveness level or maybe if you havent finished the main quest for the queen. There are definite unlocks somewhere. I started a new play through and I have been playing quite awhile (350+ million no mods) but havent finished the main quest and my attractiveness in Crown Falls is like 3500 And I have rolled a lot with Old Nate and have never had a legendary person show up, nor a white flag or one of the half way decent propellers. In my older play through with 12K attractiveness and finishing everything legendary dive specialists were all over the place, the props were fairly common and white flags were still pretty rare (maybe one every 10-12 rerolls average). I do see legendary maps(books) for dive spots but no specialists or flags. In the Old World I dont think it matters as much. I got a lucky Garrick from a quest very early then I rolled a bit and got another one. My main city is under 1500 attraction and that is with a worlds fair. But have had no problem seeing epic specialists come up. In Arctic I couldnt get any of the building enhancers to show up until I got to technician. I was first only offered the animals the cultural stuff. But hat seems fairly 'normal'.
Great tips!
The only thing you'll have to consider with the first tip is that firemen or police have no access to those buildings either. If the buildings catch fire they are going to burn down.
Grate video. The best Anno player and inspiration for me. Greetings!
That first tip was something I figured out last week and I love it. It's not super necessary but I enjoy the elegance of a closed chain of balanced inputs and outputs.
And another amazing video of tips for this game 😀
Will be possible, for the third one, to talk about Harbour activity?
Right now I have my legendary agent who improve it on Crown Falls and I don't see the difference.
Thank you in advance!!
wow both these cities (Stockfish and Crown Falls) look mesmerising Taka! Would love to see them in more detail someday.
