Gonna sound really big headed here. I know all this stuff… my only problem is I still can't do it!!!!! Thanks for vid!!!!
As if it wasn't hard enough already… This is nigh impossible! Goes to show the genius and perseverance of the pros.
So if we want to play a left side spin do we aim more to the left?
Hi ..your .fon nbro tq

Awesome Videos! Hello From Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada
Great vid but my mind was blown 5 mins in. Side is a difficult mistress.
Super 👌👌👌 coaching
Realistically, I find there's way too many things to think about with sidespin for thinking through it step by step to work time after time. I think using it consistently pretty much all comes down to touch, feel, practice and instinct. If you try and do it enough you'll eventually get a very natural feel for how to use it, and compensating for all the side effects (ba dum…) will be something you do automatically. A lot of things in cuesports work like that.
Damn now this thing is crazy 😂
You're videos have helped me, I am from Bagalkot, Karnataka,India

Is the cue delivered PARALLEL to the intended line of the cue ball or angulated to the line? (When putting in sidespin)
Sir should we move our hand bride while applying spin onto the cue ball??
Hey…wishing for your good health..
A question, can we change the side after getting down into the shot, by moving the bridge hand. One more thing, when we line a shot up our dominant eye is on that line ie behind the center of the cue ball, but if we are putting a side on the ball, where should our eye be, over the cue or behind the center of the cue ball, as there is a touch distance between the both. Thanks a ton 🙂
Still don't get it🤔
When I started snooker at 12 I was told I had a natural eye for the angles. I’d automatically moved the cue to different positions under my eyes to use side. Still do it now playing pool but sorely miss playing snooker.
BFL, please clear something up for me. At 7:00 min, you say to keep your cue straight with the shot, yet, looking closely, nearly every one of your side-shots shows the follow through of the CUE TIP curving in the direction of the side spin. Follow is not straight. Is this an sub-concious effect, it seems your stroking arm is not staying with a straight stroke. Please reply. I have seen these tendencies in other forms, example: someone shoots and curves their body in the direction they want the ball to go, not knowing they have done it.
That double on the blue at the end though
hey at 5:14 you mentioned not to move your cue over but to come up with the exact spin? is this 99% correct? don't get me wrong i'm not that great of a player i'm also learning this but I cannot imagine this being correct all the time there are some scenarios that you have to adjust i.e. the cue ball is very near with the target ball but you need the cue ball to go on that specific direction i doubt it if adjusting the spin can cover or handle that but again i'm only a beginner player and i might be wrong if yes then please guide me, thanks!
thank you. this video very useful for me. greating from Indonesia
I've always aimed to miss the pot but allowing the side to bend the white onto the potting angle???
Whatever way you try..always guess work and luck involved maybe?
Subscribe when you want to see all my videos 8 ball pool 🎱
While I can play shots with side, I don't know how to work out the throw of the cue ball. based on what he's just said, he doesn't know either, he's just using years of experience rather than 'working it out'.
thank you so much for your amazing videos. keep doing this great work Slim From Casablanca Morrocco 😀
I still don't think I learned anything there mate.
Subtitle indo please
So whats the trick again? lol that was worthless . Here's the trick to aiming with side spin…there is no "trick"
much better explained than barry stark, he had a video explaining spins, he also used the baulk line as reference however he explained the side spin shot should've been exercised when the cue is moved parallel along with bridge hand(so the cue is parallel to the baulk line), however his method is just not possible to execute and doesn't make sense, the cue is always at a line that intersects the baulk line, or the bridge hand doesn't move nearly as much as the back hand, that's the only way the cueball can travel along the baulk line. I've never gotten an clarification back from Barry for that question.
The only thing that's gonna get you better at using side, is practice!
Thank you so much for such a good tutorial i really appreciated now I'm trying to improve my game. ❤ love from Pakistan
It's hilal from kabul Afghanistan.
